November 2006
- November 17, 2006 5:40pm. After serveral problems, we
narrowed down a problem at Thomaston that was affecting customers
who use that access point. The problem has been corrected and all
should be working normally. In the next few months all equipment
for people pointing to Thomaston will be upgraded to a better service.
- November 17th, 2006 8:45am. Power on Hatchet Mountain
has gone out and outlasted our battery backup system there.
This also effects the South Hope Internet Transmitter.
Update:11:30am. Power has been restored and all is fine now.
- November 16, 2006 10:00am. Wireless customers using the
Thomaston Fire Department tower just lost service due to a problem
there. We are investigating. The problem has been fixed at 10:30am.
- November 15, 2006 6:30-7:00am. One of the five email servers
for midcoast.com email addresses will be out of service during this time
for an upgrade. Spam has increased quickly in the past week and we
need the upgrade for faster email.
- November 14, 2006 Some midcoast.com email addresses have
been slow to receive emails. They are not lost, but queued amongst a
huge load of spam. The servers virus scan and check every message for
spam. More messages had come in at times than the servers could
instantly process.

is having a problem. Someone has been dispatched to investigate.
- November 1, 2006 A newsletter has gone out to @midcoast.com
